Gabriola Island

Gabriola is often a favourite stop for those coming across from Vancouver.

Anchorage

• Degnen Bay - Good all weather anchorage but space is now very limited due to the number of moored boats.
• Silva Bay - Anchor in the middle of the bay, good all weather anchorage.

Pubs & Restaurants

There is a seasonal pub & restaurant with a very good menu.

Grocery & Liquor Stores

• There is a seasonal store.
• Beer and wine are available through the pub.

Activities

• Crabbing is very good even though you don't see many trap buoys.  I had good luck right off the dock.
• Hiking is great.
• A visit to the petroglyphs.  Ask the marinas for the bus schedule or hitchhiking is very safe.
• Watch the restoration of wooden boats just above the Silva Bay Marina.
